My son having braces on his teeth fixed next Friday. As I am aware they have to keep checking his braces constantly. What happens when we go to Canada. How is the dental care for children? how would he get referred? What are the costs involved?

Go to a dentist and they will refer you to a specialist if required to do so. Unless you have extended health care through work you pay. Even with extended health care major dental is only covered 50% max. Costs of dental depend on what's required, orthodontics you are likley looking in $000s rather than $00s.The same is for adults and children.

Did you realize you've got more money than the Queen? Just watched a programme with Prince Charles narrating. His teeth (could only see bottom ones) were atrociously misaligned. I guess there is no UK orthodontist hanging out a "BY Appointment Only" shingle.
