I got a job!
Oh and we bought a car! 
I applied for 7 jobs on Monday, had an interview for one yesterday and was offered the job today!
I'm still in a state of shock. Having been in the same job for the last 9 years in the UK the whole experience was quite nerve racking. The job is as a Reservations Agent in a hotel in Whistler and it's a completely new position so I'll be able to make it my own. I have to go to a "sister" hotel in Vancouver for 2 weeks for training so it will be quite hard being away from hubby, considering we only just got here, but a job's a job.
And we put a deposit down on a Ford Escape 4x4 and will collect it next week once our money has been transferred over. Fingers crossed the $CDN doesn't take a nose dive!
So it's all going well so far.

First of all a huge well done and a big pat on the back for being such a clever girl.
We have just landed in NS on Monday and we too are driving a Ford Escape it is a great car.
