Never heard of PC Finance! Where can I find out about them? They're certainly not in Whistler that's for sure!
Re the phone plan, I've only found one so far that allows unlimited incoming calls and you have to pay extra for the priviledge. Maybe you guys have it easier in Alberta! ;) |

However you can apply online or by phone, and can use CIBC and CIBC related "amicus" ATM machines to access funds with no fees. If you want to find a kiosk in a Loblaws store then Vancouver is your nearest bet:( |

Re: I didn't realise that....
One of my favourite things about Canadian money is defacing it:
http://greg.org/archive/cardiff_spock_five.jpg and when there was a 1 dollar bill you could fold it in such as way that it said 'banane du Canada' and showed the queen. :) Can't find a piccie though! |

Which kinda begs the question why do CIBC customers pay for services? Are they subsidising us???? :D |

Maybe give them a call and see, or else keep a minimalist account to pay cheques into with a local bank or CU, then transfer the money to your PC account at your convenience to do all your other transactions? Otherwise save up those cheques and pay them in when you are nearer civilisation:) Loblaws brands include canadian superstore, No Frills,Zehrs, "Your Independent" and a bunch of others, all of which sell "Presidents Choice" products as there premium own brand, and where you can redeem the grocery points you get for having the account. (As I have my mortgage with them I recently received over $200 worth of points...better than air miles for sure!). I always figured Whistler was pretty big, but I guess its really not. |

Never heard of loblaws either. Ok so maybe I am ignorant! lol. We live in a little Whistler bubble up here...no need to associate with the real world! :)
I wish I had a room for myself for 2010! I'm only here on a visitor visa right now and have to leave next week. :( Hopefully I'll get PR by 2010. ;) |
