www.mikafanclub.com unofficial fan club for Mika - the chap that sings Grace Kelly, Love Today etc.c. Got into his music nov 06 and sort of stumbled on fan club site - we have an Oldlings thread for the over 30's!! most of us are actually over 40 - we just sort of pop in and chat in there - much like here really!! But I have met loads of people from round the world and whenever we go away some where there is usually some on to meet for coffee whilst hubby is working!! Also have been to quite a few gigis - one in Glasgow had 30 oldies from all over - states, canada, Italy, Spain! I felt quite sane just coming from London " ! Pop in on a friday night - it gets quite raucous! |

Yes, this site is extremely addictive! I'm on here everyday because it gives me a boost when I hear of people who have landed or had requests for passports etc. I am in limbo at the minute. 18 months into out PR wait and frantically looking for jobs to speed up the process. We are desperate to get out there!!!!

I have started looking at each choc bar with the thought of, " Is it you who is going to give me type 2 diabetes?? They keep answering, "Not me!!" And I believe them!! Anyway, off to the shops to do my weekly shopping, so I’ll count that as exercise for the day. May just sneak into the café for a cuppa and cake, got to make the most of hubs half day from work!! Hee, hee. It's his turn to have some of that glorious quality time with the kids!! Thanks for keeping it all in perspective for me! X |

Getting is a job offer does seem the quickest way and with perseverance you'll manage it. What job area are you looking in?? I must be honest though, my hub is getting a little crabby with me for spending so much time on internet! Hay ho! I must remember to get him a few treats when I go to Tesco! |

Started looking at Ontario etc and CIC - realised it would take a while - then other half got offered chance to set up the Canada / North Amercia arm of one of the transpot consultants that he uses! They knew we were looking to move and they have work with Vancouver Govnt but no offices there!! So all my planning anad looking into schools and resi areas in Toronto went down the pan as they want to locate to Vancouver - plus they want the office up and running by JUNE!!!!!! |

Well that was fun had to do deep breathing exercises because of my BE addiction ;) but made it through the morning, funny how word gets around and the amount of people that i have hardly met before come up to me and say so when are you off, ( when we can get the house on the market and sold ) and oh gets a job etc etc anyway nice to know people are very envious of where we are ( if we ever get there ) going :D
