Living by the lake you do get periods of high humidity - it's part of the Canadian summer. Yes, some days are horrid - it's not nice being hot and sweaty but all you need to do crank up the air conditioning (if you don't have AC then go to a shopping mall for the afternoon) purchase an electric fan - put ceiling fans in rooms they work wonders to move the air about. Pools are great for cooling off, or a day trip to the lake. Have plenty of ice tea and ice lollies in stock. Cheers!
