Lots, quite often I keep my mouth shut and carry on, it's only if I have to interact will I take part in the how long have you been here game, instigated by the other Brit. For some reason they are disappointed when they find out we've been here longer. It's one very good reason to get of retail and go and work in a box somewhere
Bizarrely, whilst in NOTL the guy at the cash desk in the Brit/Scot shop mistook us for another couple that were shopping at the same time, also from Red Deer, also British, also just visiting. Never seen them around here though.

These are the kind of people that fly a Saltaire or Cross of St George in their front yards.
Best avoided.

I work Downtown Toronto. There are at least 5 Brits who work in my shared office space. I also hear other/new Brits in the elevator or downstairs in the food court almost everyday.

Location is everything. We went into a Loblaws in Ottawa a while back. I swear that half the people in there were Brits, including a fair few of the staff.

The barstewards are like cockroaches. They are simply everywhere.

Been in Moncton 9 and a half years. I can recall three in all that time. And one Irish.

I meet a few... I also know a lot of first generation Canadians where mum or dad immigrated...
Our landlady who turned out to be so helpful and lovely came here with here parents when she was three- I think she identified with our three yr old...

I think it marks the difference between an an emigre and and expat. I've found that the latter often use "they", almost as if the The Raj still exists. It's similar to people you would meet at an airport. A bloke wearing trousers/a jacket with way too many zippered pockets is invariably going to be a bit of a prat.

Brits? I try to avoid them wherever possible. If I wanted to be with them, I'd have stayed in the UK.
Thankfully I'm the only Brit here in Kanata, so that's some comfort. Even the wife's not one.

I would have said I'd met four or five in the three years we've been here (not counting the DandNhill clan), but having started reading this thread before I went out I deliberately refrained from commenting on the obviously South Coast accent of the woman on the till in Sobeys ( but at least she'd have known what I meant if I called it a till.... )
