Default How long to get passports back?

Does anyone know the current wait time from sending passports to be updated with permanent residency to getting them back? We wanted to book flights with Canadian Affair but am a bit worried about the terms and conditions that dont let you change/cancel your flights?

I believe it is about 2-3 weeks, but please do not quote me on this as a number of factors may delay this, im sure a senior will come along and confirm.

We are in the same boat as you, was going to book flights with canadian affair, but didn't want to without the visa's for the reasons you stated. Anyway, our passports were requested on the 19th of May and they were delivered to our agents (Willis Brazolot) on the 25th of June. So probably about three weeks from when the High commision received them in London.
However, they have had to be sent back for re-issue because they got some details wrong on COPR. I am not a happy bunny, was due to fly to Calgary on the 17th of July, and start work on the 4th of August. Will probably have to delay now as it's unlikely I will have the visa's by the 17th.
