Part containers take longer, 2 weeks doesn't seem too short a time, we shipped a car from Edmonton to (I think Liverpool) it was only at sea 4/5 days, took a week for delivery.

Which companies are you using and what is the cost for some boxes rather than a full container?

I had 20 boxes (cds, dvds books, clothes and various bits and pieces) delivered and it cost £800 from Wales to Vancouver.

Our company said 4-6 weeks, in the end it left 15th June and arrived June 1st! So we then had extra storage costs! Our crate was from Scotland to Toronto - hope this helps!! :D

Furniture going on Aug 3 and we are moving in on Sept 1 but have been told we will have to pay for it to sit in Toronto port.

Also can I bring my hose pipe or are they different out there?
