I would say... ohh yes.
My wife is in an apartment right now and it has no air-con, just been out with her for five weeks and it was so hot and humid. We purchased two portable units and put the pipe out of the window. This made it normal again.
But the noise... by week four I had got used to it, now I'm back in the UK
Thinking about putting the heating on
Just waiting for the paper work to be processed

Almost touche ??? Aircon & tumblers are an unnesesary luxury, that goble energy. trucks also pollute, but are needed
Todays trucks are allthough polluters extremely efficiant fuel wise and emmision wise. Not perfect, and not as good as our European trucks, but the Canadains are getting there. The worse sinners of pollution are drive thru's !!!! no one turns of there engine whilst waiting upto 15mins for a coffee
Ban and boycot all drive thru's i say,and do

I drive an SUV, crank up my air conditioning, throw my Bottles in the Garbage, BUT, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.
Did you know that Starbucks keeps its' coffee grounds available for those who compost, and that it makes the BEST Compost.
