Smile How does arranged employment work?

Has anyone already gone through this....?

I am still in the line to have my PR application processed. But I have been looking around for jobs while I've been waiting. My job is primarily a storage analyst.
I have found a small kitchen/bathroom company that has shown interest in hiring me and my aim is to get a AEO - Arranged Employment Opinion from the Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) - so the employer can assist me in my PR application when it gets reviewed possibly nearer September time.
My questions are;
1) How difficult is it to get an AEO from the HRSDC?
2) How long does the process take?
3) Do they bode well for applications when the CIC can see you will have a job waiting for you when you land?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I happy to be corrected if I'm wrong, but I think its the employer who has to apply to HRDSC not you. They have to document that they tried to fill the position with a citizen or landed immigrant but that no qualified individual was available. They can then offer you the job, but I guess they'll have to be prepared to hold the position open until your PR comes through.

This info may be way out of date or just plain wrong, so I hope someone more knowledgable posts.
