Re: House price correction -25%
We are heading from the UK to Brandon MB next year (Dependant on our MPNP application) I have family who have lived there for 20 years, house prices are still strong in this province and may or may not fall, Manitoba is becomming a very prosperous province, large scale investment especially in Winnipeg, lots of oil in the westman area. House prices have dropped a little but i personally hope house prices some more by this time next year but it could go either way in Manitoba.

Compared to Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary the Winnipeg housing market is very affordable compared to them except Winnipeg doesnt have mountain or ocean views.

Seeing as the Dublin comparison was already brought up, beware of this as a safe haven! Ask anyone who put all their eggs in what was always perecived to be the safest bet....dividend paying bank shares! See "Anglo Irish Bank", "Bank of Ireland" and "Allied Irish Bank" share histories!
