Not sure if this is of interest or maybe it's already been posted
This is the local NS CBC TV site, you can watch the news either live or after it's been broadcast. Fire is on the Purcells Cove Rd and Herring Cove Rd, up from our only rotary (roundabout) for those that have visited. They say there are around 12 homes on fire, started around 3.30pm AT and is still not under control.

It's really bad, we know a lot of people who've been evacuated. The girls school will be closed tomorrow. I'm just going to bed (1:00am here). We've been watching the fire get closer & closer all afternoon and evening but I think they've got it under control for now. Rain forecast for midday tomorrow so hopefully it will stop it before the air temp rises and feeds the fire again...
