Does anyone know any websites/shops that sell cheap hockey gear? We have looked on some Canadian websites but they do not deliver to the uk.

Play it Again Sports and Canadian Tire are two that spring to mind, but i doubt either is set up for UK mail order. If you have enough demand they might arrange something unofficial through a friendly store owner?, but I dont know that any new hockey gear is cheap. Im hoping to dodge that bullit as a parent!

Did you try ebay? international shipping is less of a problem there, at least some of the traders will ship internationally

From playing field hockey for years in the UK where the goalies wear a lot of standard (ice) hockey armour, I doubt you will find anywhere in the UK that is even close to canadian costs, its just economy of scale in action I'm afraid.

hockeygiant.com and hockeymonkey.com both deliver to the uk,we have bought loads of kit off them over the past few years,but as a word of warning make sure you are certain of sizes before you order, and don't forget you will be liable for import duties on your purchase AND the shipping costs.After all that it still usually works out much cheaper than buying here in the UK. It depends whether you want "Hockey gear" or just skates for recreational use if it is the latter cheap stuff can be bought from any ice rink shop in the UK

Walmart near us sells loads of ice-hockey stuff. I got the childrens ice skates for $39 a pair. I bought my skates at a sports shop in the sales, so worth checking the more expensive shops too as you can bag some sale-time bargains.
