The wife & I have just returnes from a 3 week scouting trip to BC & alberta which finally made our minds up that Canada is the place for us. We will be getting the ball rolling ASAP. Signing up here was the first step as it looks like a great resource for all us wantaways.

We are looking to move to BC, specifically Vancouver Island. Victoria was fantastic and the surrounding countryside was breathtaking. We liked Vancouver but prefer a slower pace to life.

Im sure we will have lots of questions when we get our application in & the panicking starts in earnest!!

Small world. According to hospital grapevine the old winwick hospital was over run with cockroaches & then they built those houses there <ewww shudder>. Don't know if it is still a problem there or not, but I know I wouldn't live in one of those houses.

Hi and welcome. We're from close to you in Wirral and just moved to Vancouver Island (Nanaimo) a month ago. We're loving it so far - it's a beautiful place to live. We too love Vancouver but wanted the slower pace of life that VI offers. So far we have found it to be just that...in fact a little too slow and laid back when we were trying to get things set up in the first week but now that we're settling in to the pace we are loving it!
