Default Hi from Nova Scotia

Hi everyone
5 weeks down the line here in Fall River Nova Scotia...............what a rollercoaster!
I will post relevant posts to all our ups and downs (the downs will be a very, very short list) as soon as.Just got back on line as the computer blew up,converted it to 110 and then put it on a 240 adaptor....DOH!

Just one word so far FAB.

Landing was no problem, the whole process is fairly straightforward, moved in and our feet haven't touched the ground since. There is certainly a lot of work initially to set yourself up with the official stuff, phones, utilities, food etc etc.

Just wanted to say hi and will post details later.

Mike

That is great news and welcome to the other side of the fence!

Hi Corky

mozzies aren't around much yet, it's the blackfly........nice little buggers they are!
The best thing we did on reflection was getting a screened in deck so you can just see them banging themselves against it.Wildlife has never really been my bag so when the neighbours said there was a bear in them there woods it didn't fill me with glee especially when we saw it (or a very convincing shadow and clawing sound).Got to say though, it beats Maidstone anyday!
Mike.

You might find this helpful

Oh the dreaded black fly!!! I just came in cause I can't stand them....and there was a cloud of them around me!! oh the joys of living in the woods. It is a great idea with the screened deck....very smart thinking!
Bears you say....well they are getting close to the city....I guess they are out of hibernation and they are hungry!
