Congratulations on your PR, if you dont mind me asking how long did it take to get PR and what route did you go down? Janeymay well we originally applied under skilled worker in jul 06. Then decided to apply for jobs in Canada. Was offered one here in Newfoundland back in Apr 07. received positive LMO in Jul 06 had WP by end of Aug. CHC then advised that we could transfer app to 'arranged employment' and fast track. we started that in late Sept 07. move here end of Oct 07. Family had their medicals in Canada March 08 (I had mine in UK before i came because of job). Had request for passports to be sent to CHC in Apr 08 and got them back today. |
Re: Hi from Newfoundland
sorry to butt in, but how did you get your application transferred to arranged employment? we arrived at the end of November last year on TWP's, application for PR was sent to london in august, and we haven't hear anything yet. We haven't been chasing it up so far as our permits are until dec and immigration here said it wasn't a problem to extend, and we didn't want to slow the london office down any!
