As you know we are still waiting for a discission on my wifes LMO, but fingers crossed, we will hear something soon.

Joined the forum yesterday and spoke to your Hubby, he said he is flying back and bringing you all over. I bet you'll all be glad to be together again. We are also based in St Johns. We havent been screeched in yet but my hubby's work says they will do it soon.

I have exciting news, our permanent residency visas just arrived by recorded post. Its official now.
I have a question you amy be able to help me with, did you have to leave Newfoundland activate your visa, or can you do it at a visa office
any advice would be greatly received.

Great news about getting your PR through, think you might have to go out, then come back in at a border??? not sure.

no dont mind at all.
well we originally applied under skilled worker in jul 06. Then decided to apply for jobs in Canada. Was offered one here in Newfoundland back in Apr 07. received positive LMO in Jul 06 had WP by end of Aug. CHC then advised that we could transfer app to 'arranged employment' and fast track. we started that in late Sept 07. move here end of Oct 07. Family had their medicals in Canada March 08 (I had mine in UK before i came because of job). Had request for passports to be sent to CHC in Apr 08 and got them back today.

sorry to butt in, but how did you get your application transferred to arranged employment? we arrived at the end of November last year on TWP's, application for PR was sent to london in august, and we haven't hear anything yet. We haven't been chasing it up so far as our permits are until dec and immigration here said it wasn't a problem to extend, and we didn't want to slow the london office down any!

Our original app was in my hubbys name as main applicant, but when i applied for a work permit seperately, they sent us a letter asking if we wanted to change the orig app to me as the main applicant and fast track under the arranged empployment. So be honest it was CHC being on the ball that got us changing the application.
