Yes... when you are dragging your family (and not just yourself) around the world... it's not something you take lightly is it? I felt scared for a long time and then would have times of excitement, which would then convert back to feeling scared again. But right now,,, i feel very ready and excited to go ,,, we are moving over there on a tempory working visa, in June. You are not alone!

This site has helped no end,,, i made some friends on here who are mothers also,, people i felt i had something in common with. hope to see them at the other end.. not to mention having been invited to a party and cups of tea.... nice.

Bound for Nova Scotia.

Hi Top Buzz

It does take time, but nothing to worry about.

Best of luck

Hello!

Good Luck with making the decision and also the move. Check out in detail the Wiki articles at the top of this site. Read them, and then pose questions that are specific to your moving process.

Calgary seems to be a very popular city to move to - so you'll find alot of help there about things!

Wishing you the best
Bandit!

Hi

welcome to the forum. You are not alone, I'm moving to Calgary in 3 weeks and am mostly excited but then every now and again I experience moments of sheer terror.

Alvic must be feeling the same right now, she's due to land in about and hour minus her dogs that have had to stay in Calgary.

Hi all,

just to say welcome to the forum, we have found this site to be a great help, made loads of new friends and have received loads of advice.

We to are heading Calgary way, been planning the move for over a year now. Had some disappointments ( concerning my job) along the way, by now my wife has been offered a job and the employer is real keen, just sent her application forms off, to get her LMO and has even mentioned to our immigration consultant about going with the PNP route, so fingers crossed.

Good luck with your adventure, there are lots of people that feel this is the right thing to do and a lot of them say it's a roller coaster ride, but just hang in there.

If you need any help or advice, or just a chat, ask away

regards to all,
Carl

Wow my brother-law and his family are flying the 23rd Feb from Manchester, going to start their new lives in Okotoks, just outside Calgary. Send them PM if you like, they would be pleased to talk. deanonlisa is his forum name.

Cheers to you all and good luck with your new life. we hoping to get over Aug/sept time.
