Good morning. I posted on here quite a while ago about moving to Alberta or BC but it has all been put on hold due to some family bad news. The good news is that the plans are all back on the go again so stand by for some repetitive boring questions from me. I will spend quite a bit of time scanning some of the older posts to clear up the more simple ones. A brief history is there is me my wife and 2 kids (7 and 8) will be moving over within the next 12 months I am a fully qualified city and guilds plumber / pipefitter with gas oil and LPG tickets I have 24 years experience within the plumbing and heating industry. I do hope you don't all roll your eyes and say " not another bloody plumber" hahaha I will speak soon thank's Mike

Hi, and welcome back to BE.
Your earlier post was actually about moving to Australia - just checking, but you're in the right place and didn't want to post there? I assume not as you mention AB or BC, so guessing it's Canada now!
Good luck with it all, are you moving on a TWP?

Yes we looked into both locations but after lots of homework about economy and cost of living and education standards canada came out on top. We are looking at the skilled migration route as this is going to be a move for life not just a few years.

And an Express Entry application? And you don't need a job offer to get enough points? Most people do, so if you score enough without one then that's great and should mean your aim of being there within a year is achievable.
Best of luck with it.
