Hi everyone out there
Just found this forum (looks pretty good)
Thought I'd introduce myself & my wife to you all. LOL
We've been here 2yrs now (Jan 2nd 06) & live in rural Saskatchewan about 1 1/4 hrs from Saskatoon, & yes I'm a truck driver (for Kindersley Tspt)
My wife Sue used to work in Saskatoon but now has a job in the local store in town, not so far to travel everyday & alot cheaper on gas.
What can I say about living here?
It can be a very steep learning curve.
Don't believe everything that employers tell you.
Make friends with as many Canadians as you can (after all, they've been living here all their lives, they know what the winters can be like.
$64,000 question, would we move back to UK? Do we regret moving here?
The answer is NO definately not!!
We wish we had done it earlier in our lives
Anyway just thought I'd say hello

My Son and his family are landing in Saskatoon on 28th Feb. They are leaving Ayr in Bonnie Scotland for the plains of Saskachewan. However Im glad to here you love it as I am a very worried Granny at the moment. I will so miss my Grandchildren who are only 5 and 3. He is going to work for Redhead Equipment in Sask as he is heavy plant mechanic and starts work with them on 1st March. Welcome to BE.
