Hi,

We have been in Chester Basin for just over a week and so far are loving it. BUT - our hire car has to go back on Monday and we don't know where to look for a used car. We have looked at a new Equinox but really don't want to spend that sort of money. Can anyone give any suggestions on where to look for a decent sized used car that won't cripple us too much on the insurance?

If you go onto the uk2nova scotia website, they have dealings with I think O'Reagan's used car dealership. They would be able to give you more info!

When we sold one recently it went on Autotrader (online and magazine) and kijiji (had a great deal of luck with lots of stuff on here).

Lots of dealers advertise on Autotrader, which is useful if you don't want to risk a private deal.

Try Cars-R-Us in Sackville for fairly decent used cars at good prices

Be very careful with O'Regans, one of their dealerships tried their best to rip me off in a big way, using the lack of credit history to take me for a lot of money, they failed however and I eventually get a great deal elsewhere. Be very careful of their "unbaised advice"

And sackville generally, there are loads of good used car lots there.
I agree with the other poster about being wary of O'Regans, i worked there.........
