Help from midwifes in Calgary please
#16
Surely they'd have been induced by now...
Congrats L2S - we're due in early Feb and are also going the midwife route with home birth here in Calgary. Wasn't an option with Mini-Hobbess1 as Alberta didn't cover midwives last year when he popped out.
So far been a pleasant process though not that different than the maternity clinic that we went through for no 1, other than the fact that the midwives office is someones house. Be interested to hear the story afterwards particuarly on the home birth aspect if you don't mind sharing.

but it was just more the fact that they were so far through their pregnancies and were only now considering their options, whereas Mr L2S and I have been busy researching all our options from pretty much the day after we found out about Baby L2S. I also remember now, what I was meant to say in my orginal reply (blame baby brain) was that I had my second scan at 18 weeks as we were going back to the UK at 19 & 20 weeks and Mr L2S wanted to take the picture with us.
We are all off to see the midwife this afternoon.....luckily I remembered just as I was leaving for work, so had a chance to change my knickers to more appropriate ones!
H - so long as I have time to come back on here, will be more than happy to share our experience of the midwife / homebirth route in BC.
Bit of light reading here
