Cannot get a straight answer from the bank here .ggrrrr
Hope someone can shed some light
am flying to Cambodia soon, need to exchange some GBP into US dollars
Is it best to do that through your bank or if not where for the best rates????
Please some advice needed my bank are USELESS!

Check the rates online if possible and don't forget to account for any commission - sorry, I don't know if banks there still charge it?
Check Travelex - I think they're in UK airports aren't they? (am assuming that's where you are from the conversion) We usually use them or local money changers in Singapore, as they offer better rates than banks.
edit: sorry just realised you may be in Canada (I got to your post from the front page). Airports might still be your best bet. Even on your credit card - we sometimes use Amex.

Get a goldfish mastercard. They don't charge commission on foreign purchases (or certainly didn't this time last year)and in my experience don't use a pathetic exchange rate either.
