The reading test is the toughest as it is quite tricky, you cannot
skim through the meaning you must read each and every word to catch the true meaning.

why on earth would you have to do IELTS test, Sukhi? If I am not mistaken, you were born and educated in the UK, therefore in English? We didn't have to take any IELTS test, although neither of us are originally English. Are you sure you need to do it? Seems such a waste of time for somebody who always lived in UK... Is that a new requirement (read: are they out of their minds in Canadian High Commission?)

Hiya Alex,
Here lays a sorry tale of one who talks too much but does not read all the forums properly.
It was my understanding that I needed to prove my competency in English by way of a test. Unfortunately, I realised afterwards that this was not the wisest thing to do as a poor score is still a result that needs to be reported on the canadian application form.
I just hope that I do well enough on it. Thank you though.

Sukh

Oh Jeez. You poor thing. Good luck, I'm sure you'll sail right through it.

Thanks Alexandra, I will probably need it. Mind you it will be interesting just to find out how I capable I am. Also, I should imagine that it will be useful to show potential employers.
I'll let you know how I go on.
regards.

Are you shaking in your boots yet?
sorry, just wanted to wish you good luck (as if you need it), seeing that your exam is tomorrow. Sleepless night, by any chance?
