I think it's unfair to compare children's education between Canada and the UK while at the elementary school level. Children start school two years earlier in the UK and are therefore academically two years ahead of Canadian children the same age. Of course they're going to be ahead while in Canada. Of course they're going to be behind in the UK school system if they go back. It equals out later on when they're in their mid-late teens.

In Ontario they start jk between 3.5 and 4.5 years old.

I was also under the impression that the first year of uni here, which is a year later than the UK, was basically spent getting up to the standard required for uni.

The styles of teaching and approaches can be very different from what I hear. For example, I've heard that more in the way of independent thought and critical thinking is valued in the UK.

My wife was a teacher; a high school teacher and has work in UK schooling too, her mother currently works for the Ontario education Board.. she has friends who qualified as teachers in Canada, many of which now work outside of Canada..

There is much correspondence between them all on what goes on in the various schooling systems

She and her friends would consider it an entirely fair comparison

Primary school is a critical starting point in education

Hi. Please take the time to read my post on this thread in the Canada forum:
Toronto or going back to London after 5 yrs, so confused!
It is more focused on Toronto vs London but got some good comments by people.
Good luck with your move.

I have to ask, why? You know that (even if your husband is eligible, which it doesn't sound as though he is) you don't have everything CIC require, and that it'll fail the 'initial completeness check' and just be returned, so why waste £100 or so on a courier and police certs?

How do you think you are going to qualify for FSW?

You haven't taken the IELTS let alone got the results, you haven't got an ECA report, you don't appear to have had time to get your ACPO done. 5 days ago you said you had yet to arrange any of these things. Did you get all your employment references?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kit...s/IMM5612E.pdf

Without those things, as christmasoompa said above, your application is going to be sent back.

Less haste, more speed.

What a shame that you have wasted the money sending it off, only to have it returned.

Most of the people on this site are very helpful. They have tried to help the poster with the questions they asked, but CIC will return their application if parts are missing/wrong.

Oh I know the people here are very helpful, I have received lots of fantastic help and advice.

I think you misunderstand me lol
It's the op I feel may be a troll, based on what they are saying here and in other threads not seeming to add up.

Eddmac, there is no point writing on a thread if all you do is to be negative. I ask questions because I need answers. If you do not have answers no need to write. What I wrote in order thread is in line with all I have written. So far you are the only person that have not given any tips. The information I got from this forum so far has taken me far. Thanks

People are happy to try and help. But tbh, it's incredibly hard work trying to help somebody that doesn't respond to questions or suggestions at all, and you'll find that people are just less inclined to help you in the future. To get good information, you have to give good information.

I still don't understand how or why you've applied as FSW. Did you manage to get *all* of the paperwork required or not, and if not, then why did you apply?

Hi Bekes,

In post 12, 22 and 23 I asked for clarification on some of your information and offered some advice based on my own experience. I don't consider that to be negative at all, although you are totally entitled to your opinion.

You have not answered any questions, not clarified anything and to be honest, lots of your posts are contradictory and somewhat difficult to believe, which led to my last post.

You claim to have submitted your FSW application, even though you have been advised that you don't have all the required documentation, never mind the fact that you or your husband don't seem to have the required experience either.

I am more than happy to help and offer the benefit of my experience of the Canadian emigration process, a process that I started over a year ago.
I'm amazed that you don't seem to want to listen. Why ask questions if you don't listen to the answers?

Anyway, I'm now cancelling my subscription to this thread and, if you are genuine, I wish you all the best in your emigration attempts, however misguided.
