They do make payments in foreign currency. For some years I had them direct deposit to a U.S. account in U.S. dollars...subject to exchange rate of course. I see a link has been posted above.

Thanks, everyone for your contributions.
it was a misunderstanding on my part. the cheque has now been sent for collection which takes about 6-8 weeks
they initially refused negotiation as it is a large cheque.

I am sorry, can not give an advice about money transfer. Madina, could you please tell how do you terminated BC pension? I want to do the same.
