Hi guys me and my Partner are considering a move to Canada we are not married but have been together for 7 years and are expecting out first child in April, which is the main reason we feel we should now settle down from moving around alot.
My partner is a Canadian Citizen and still has her citizen card from when she was about 7, is this card still valid or do you need to keep them up to date? Also as she already holds citizenship we are hoping she can sponsor me to come over would it be made easier if she had a Canadian passport or is this irrelevant as she currently uses her British passport.
Hope somebody can help us.
Thank you

She is still a citizen and the card is still valid and she doesnt need a Canadian passport.
