Hello! A year in Canada (Bunac)
Hello all,
Just thought I'd introduce myself before I start bombing the message boards with lots of stupid questions.
I'm heading out to Canada on a Bunac (non-student) 1-year visa with my girlfriend at the end of June.
We plan (roughly) to spend 4 months in Vancouver, 4 months in Banff, and then 4 months travelling East.
Our UK flat is on the market, we've handed in resignation on our jobs, and we've saved up a decent stash of cash to keep us rollin'
Suddenly today it's all hit home a bit, and I've realised I still don't really have a clue what will happen when we arrive, but I hope it will all pan out!

Well, I've been working in IT for several years so will hopefully pick-up some contract IT work.
My girlfriend is looking for more of a change so will probably look for more casual work.
As long as we can find something of course!!

Thats great- so how does this Bunac work, do they provide you with a job or just a list of employers? Does the job have to be through them, as i assume they provide your visa too?
