Hello from Victoria
#1
Just moved to Victoria after a month travelling around Western Canada in an RV (Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Kootenays, Kelowna, Calgary, Jasper, Banff, etc.) Over in Canada on a one year work permit (BUNAC) in the first instance and just managed to get a job working for B.C Ambulance Service in PR/Communications. My wife (Ski Bunny) and I have just got an apartment in central Victoria and are getting to know the local area. Have visited Seattle, Sooke, Sidney, Newcastle Island(
) , and Naneimo.

We moved out at end of May - living further up the Island in Comox Valley. Bloody hot at the moment isn't it.

Welcome to the forum, and well done on the job.
Wishing you all the best on your Canadian adventure. Would be great to hear your views and experiences on your life in Victoria. Interesting that you looked around and found Victoria to be the place for you. I have visited and loved it too. After Vancouver I would choose Victoria I think.
Best of luck.
Rob.

Apart from the weather which is too hot (around 40 yesterday) everything is going just fine. Thank you for asking and I will post again soon on how we have got on but we have had problems with the internet and I've got the unpacking still to do and it is the sort of weather you just want to find a shady corner and wilt.
