I'd be VERY disappointed. (Seriously, one of my main worries about going to Canada is that there's no surfing - not that there's much in Dublin either LOL but at least we can reach it). Has Devon gone down the toilet or something? I'd be interested to know, as if our Canada plans fail, the west country is/was a definite plan B. Thanks Snowqueen Devon is not going downhill, quite the opposite they are making so many changes at the moment. There are cranes everywhere. We are getting a big indoor shopping mall (soooo North American!) and so great when it rains., plans are in for a big 5 star hotel, the football ground has been renovated and there are more plans for the central park recreation buildings. I think its about time too. There are lots of plans to get rid of old buildings and put new more attractive ones in to make the waterfront nicer. Yes, the ponies are still there, the clotted (heart attack) cream and the pasties. I am from the NOrth and though I love the people tremendously (and the accent!) the South West is great place to live. But our hearts are taking us back to Canada, once again. |

Lovely place to work but my husband has got himself a job in Canada about 30 minutes from my family. What a change that will be. I haven't had a Christmas with them for over 5 years now. Good luck with your decisions and if we can help in any way. Vancouver is beautiful, but so are so many other parts of Canada. Job will definitely guide you. Hi nivlass It is amazing!!! on this wonderful WORLD wide web, to come across someone who lives 5 minutes down the road!! I can probably see your house from where I am, as being at the top of Southway, we look over all the fields and over Tamerton itself!! Can you see me waving?! LOL Best of luck with your move and thanks for offers of help, you may regret it though, (got loads of questions!) but a very good excuse for a pint or two in the Kings Arms one sunny sunday afternoon maybe?!   Kaz |

That's what it's all about. If you pick someone elses brain all the better. A pint sounds good though. We've probably driven past you many times. We can see the fields out our back window as we are at the top of Milford Lane just up from the village. A lovely view as you know. |
