Hi Paul
We are only down the road to you in Kidderminster.
Dont let the doubters dissuade you mate. I belive people like that are only jealous of you or are to scared to do anything out of their own comfort zone, so being negative to your plans and aspirations is essayer than taking a chance with their own lives.
And as for being old I am 48 on Friday and just had our medicals on 1st April so you have nothing to worry about, I wish I had done this 10 years earlier.
I do hope 50 is the new 40
Are you going to the Mids meet and greet?
Lee

Thanks for the reassurance there.....from just up the A449!!
Your right...some people wont even try to venture outside there comfort zone, but are all too keen to have a good moan, I must say I find it hard to operate outside my comfort zone - but Im going to give it a good go!
Youve had your medicals then - Ive got mine this Thursday!

Its great to hear positive posts like yours - whne I read these it makes me feel like Im doing the right thing.
And yes yet to confirm on the Midlands meet up thread - but its looking pretty certain I will be there for the Mids meet up. looking forward to it!
All the best mate
Paul

Hi Paul
Best of luck with the med, you should be okay as it is a doddle could not belive it cost so much for what they did (I am in the wrong job)
The 3 of us were in and out in 20 mins and over £600 lighter, shame that isn't a ddifferentpound.
On a better note we got our passport request yesterday 7 weeks after the meds.

:thumbs up: I am so happy

As Pauls friend who lived in Oakville (and before that Caledonia with all the indian trouble) and now Alliston I thought Id say hi, I have been here for over 3 years now and to say I love Canada and the way of life out here is an understantement. I used to be a member of yahoo forum where I got a lot of answers from and also gave back some advice but that seems quiet of late so here I am on here, If anyone has any questions or needs advice Im glad to offer my opinion, Ive seen quite a lot of Canada (and especially Ontario) since moving here and my fiancee is origionally from BC and has lived all over the country before settling into being a cop in TO and we have both travelled a lot since we have been together the last cple years so I can safely say theres a lot of Ontario Ive seen and experienced.
Like anywhere its not a Utopia but the quality of life here in my experience is un matched by anything in the UK and all in all most of my experiences have been very positive.
And for all the age conscious on here including Paul age is just a number - you get one life so live it rather than dream about living it! Better to do something that regret not doing it!
