Default Hello everyone!

Hi,

I just joined this site and want to say hello to everyone.

I'm an accountant working in London for last 7 years. I'm thinking to move to Canada and trying to collect information as much as I can. I've been looking CIC website and will be going to London expo in June.

I'd appreciate if anyone can give me an idea of the most suitable area for me in Canada.

Also, would it be a good idea to submit the application now just to place myself in the que? I haven't sat IELTS exam and haven't really researched about to what extent my qualifications be accepted in Canada.

Thanks a lot.

Welcome Scorpion,

I also worked as an account in London for 8 years. I arrived in Calgary in June 06.I havent converted my qualification yet, but I will be starting this summer. I sat my exams with ACCA and they have a partnership with CGA here in Canada, so transferring them shouldn't take to long. I have not found a problem getting a job here in Calgary. There are a number of oil and gas head offices here, so the job market is good. Plus you have the added benefit of being very close to the Rocky mountains.

Good luck.

Thank you for the information.

I will be applying through skilled migrant route. Do you know if I could have maximum points for education with ACCA and BA qualification?
