My OH and I (+ 2 kids) applied for our PR in August 2005. In the meantime he has decided to apply for various jobs and hopefully enter using a work permit. The 3+ years processing time far tooooooo long.

We have spent over a year checking out all the provinces on the internet and also subscribe to various magazines. We have no preference really as to where exactly we want to settle as each province has its own special qualities. We have visited Ontario 3 times and have friends who emigrated there back in 2000.

We recently received some good news and are both flying out to Nova Scotia in 3 weeks time where my husband is being interviewed for a job. We are both very excited and plan to spend a week there travelling around a bit.

Good luck with the interview, hope it all works out. We are flying to Calgary in 3 wks to have a look round, hubby has been offered a job their. We have got visa's but still need to sell house. We originally planned to go to Vancouver Island, but because of job offer had to do quick turn around. We have 10 yr old twins and they are really getting excited about living in Canada and can't wait to get rid of their old teacher lol. I didn't come across this sight till May 06, sure wish I'd found it in March 03 when we first decided to emigrate, but never mind its mostly all done now, its been a big help even at this late stage , in which i would like to say a BIG thankyou to anyone who reads this.
