Default Hello! another newbie question!

Hi Folks,

Excellent website ! I've had so many questions answered just by searching this forum! Lucky enough to be on the list and i've just printed all my forms this evening and im sitting down to fill them in depending on how well this question goes.

One question I can't find the answer to is regarding YTS scheme's from the mid 90's and it looks like it makes the difference to passing or failing with my points.

From 94-96 I spent over two years as a YTS trainee. This involved going to college for a HNC one day a week for a year which i did not fully complete but I have copies of the individual HNC modules I completed.

My question is does the YTS count as any of the options below????

Obtained a one-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship and completed at least 13 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies

Obtained a two-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship and completed at least 14 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies

Thanks for any help !

Neil.

Read my thread, similar situation - from what I've read I think you would have needed to obtain the full qualification to qualify for the points.
It seems a bit of a grey area to be honest, just make sure you send as much backup documentation as possible

Cheers Hammy,

I've been reading you posts as well, it sounds pretty much the same, Suppose im hoping that the two years YTS counts as two years apprenticeship, just wish i completed the HNC now!

I work in Edinburgh as well...
