First of all I just wanted to say hello,
I have been reading the site for the last week and thought i would sign up and introduce myself.
As you can see my names Graham im 25 years old and I live with my partner Becca who is 23 we currently have a place in Kent.
I used to live near Calgary on a British Army Camp Batus im sure some of you would of heard of it but I was only 10 years old then.
Since leaving Canada I have always wanted to return and start a life out there, I have been thinking about making the move for the last two years and I finally feel that I am at the point in my life to make that leap.
I am only starting to touch the surface of what I need to do I am looking at going on two recce trips first one is Vancouver as Becca already has friends out there and second is Calgary as I used to live around that area.
I have also been back to Canada on several occasions since leaving and understand its a lot different to the UK.
I currently work as a detention officer in a police station, I don’t have a trade or skill and studied to a college diploma level.
Becca works in retail but volunteers with youth offenders and has a degree in psychology and criminology. As what I understand you really need to have a job lined up to put you in good stead of immigration can someone confirm that please?
Also is there anyone around the age of myself who has made the move or looking into moving.
Right back to reading the topics
Also any advice from anyone would greatly appreciated
Graham

Hello Graham. Just wanted to say hi and wish you all the best with everything. We moved a couple of years ago from Surrey, so not a million miles away from Kent. I'm sure there will be plenty of people who will be able to offer advice on jobs and the possible routes available to you for moving over here. We moved over via the Provincial Nominee Program with my husband's job so I'm no expert on all the other routes etc. Best of luck!

Hi Graham,
Myself (Danielle 25) and my partner (Daniel 29) are currently going through BUNAC on a non student working visa and we will be heading out to canada early next year.
We originally looked into moving out there permanently but were so confused with all the visas that we decided to try it for a year before we sell up and start a new life!
We also live in Kent (Medway) and have just rented out our house with the hope of saving as much money as possible whilst living with the 'laws!'
I have family in Orillia and Edmonton so will be living with them for a while (as long as possible!!!) when we arrive.
No idea what were going to do about employment wise, we both dont have any skills that would benefit us out there but im still trawling the sites to see what jobs are out there!
Were probably in the same boat, so we could possibly help each other out!!
Wish you all the best!
