Hi, I'm new to the site really. I signed up in 2005 when I started thinking about emigration, but have only just started regularly reading the forums for advice.

I'm living in Cardiff with my partner and I'm a newly qualified social worker. I'm looking at getting 2-5 years UK experience before emigrating. I'm working in child protection so I hope to have some useful experience when I finally get to Canada!

At this stage the plan is to move to Ontario, specifically the Toronto area as I fell in love with the city years ago. However, I plan on seeing more of the west before I decide and am visiting Calgary and Vancouver next Easter.

If there are any social workers out there (UK or Canada based) please PM me. I have loads of questions.
