Hopefully I'm in the right place.
I just joined today and thought maybe introduce myself here??
I (we) have been in Canada for approaching 5 years now. Love the place hate the crap driving, roads, red tape and deteriorating service standards.
Live in south/central alberta and wondered if there was anyone living in the similar area.
Cheers all

Welcome to the Canada bit of BE! Yes, you are in the right place. The Canada bit if for the nuts and bolts of canadian living, and the maple leaf is for more fun/ controvercial and off topic nonsense.
Make yourself at home!

Its basically a "family friendly" site. Anything too bad gets moved to the Take it outside forum or deleted, but it would be nice if the mods didnt have to intervene.
There is some good advice in the read me posts about netiquette and which forum to post what in.

Lived in Edmonton for nine years and quite liked it. I met my wife there so it can't be all bad.
Now having said that I have never liked the Oilers.
Was an Eskimos fan but now I don't care for CFL football that much, but would cheer for the Stampeders over our northern rivals.
We didn't move to Calgary voluntarily I was transferred and to be honest we were not looking forward to it. Now we much prefer Calgary to Edmonton.

Eskies? Have they won yet? Or did the Allouettes (sp?) whoop their ass again?
