Smile Helicopters!

Landing in March this year, only staying for a few weeks though to do another search around.
My husband is in the helicopter industry and will be looking for work while we are there.
Just wondered if someone, knew someone, who might know someone................ in that line of work?
Canmore is our preference as all our friends live near Calgary, but if someone, knows someone in BC, well thats always fine by us too.

Gaynor, if my memory serves me correctly, I think Rabrol has a pic of himself in a helicopter cos he does that in his spare time.
I thought he was a Pastor/Minister and working in a church.

Can anybody confirm this?

A google on helicopters+canada just comes up with "Brian Mulrooney was a wanker"... dunno what that means.

I skydived from a wreck of a plane once, and beleive me it was a wreck, the only person with a seat was the pilot, I was just glad to get out truth be told.

That's usual, isn't it? Most of the jumps I've done have been from small planes packed according to a plan and with the first person out sitting half out of the plane. It's expensive to put a plane in the air.

I don't know is it? I've only ever done it once and it was just me and the guy I was being strapped to (and a strapping lad he was)

Matt will correct me I'm sure, he has done quiet a few jumps.

Where do you do it then, I would love to try it again, if memory serves me right I think I done mine in Hamilton tho not 100% it was ten years ago now.

Here : http://www.parachuteschool.com/

(and various places out of province)

These places look to be sensible alternatives:

http://www.skydivetoronto.com/aboutus.htm

http://www.skydivegrandbend.com/firstj.html

I've never tried it while strapping someone though; I think one must have to be quite talented for that.

Biggest Canadian helicopter operator is CHC http://www.chc.ca/ who are based in BC I believe. (Although the company was founded by a Newfoundlander.) My nextdoor neighbour was a helisking pilot in BC til this year now he flies to the rigs offshore here.

Cheers, may just have to give it another try.

Well I do have to admit I am quite talented

I jumped at 11,000 feet with a 30 sec free fall, absolute adrenaline rush and got it on video at the same time, now thats talent.
