Default Heat Help

Does anyone know where I can buy the UK gossip magazines 'Heat' or 'Now' in the Toronto area. No-one seems to sell them. It would make my partner very happy. (A subscription costs about 250 quid, so that's a non-starter).

Four Bells seems to be the authority on these types of publication, might want to PM her. I suspect you'd have to order them through a very good news agency and they may be expensive.

I'll give it another try but have not seen them in the past, nor in the magazine shops that call themselves "International". Thanks for the reply though.

While not wanting to encourage anyone to read such rubbish, I understand needing the connection from home You seem to be able to order overseas from these sites.

Why not encourage him to read them online instead?
http://www.heatworld.com/ and http://www.nowmagazine.co.uk/

A 2 year subscription to "Now" costs £99 in the UK - is there anyone who could send it to you? Otherwise, a 1 year subscription delivered to Canada is presently $153.90

Heat costs £60 per year - though you will have to pay for delivery (airmail).

Have you tried looking at the checkout at some of the supermarkets?

When I look at the Heat website I see the one year subscription (Rest of the World) as 250 pounds. I don't know where you're seeing $153.

She does look at the website but it's apparently only a small selection of what's in the magazine - according to her.

Thank you Oink! (I think we know each other in a different Internet dimension) I will check out those sites.

Thanks for all your answers. Very helpful.

Fiesta! Hmmm. How about Club International?

I always found it a bit posh as well.

I actually just discovered (given that Oink was no help) that you can subscribe to the digital edition of Fiesta (but only via Paypal, which says a lot). I too remember the days of hedge porn or the dodgy local newsagent who also sold cigarettes by the single. Simple times.

Alas/ Alack - Heat is v hit and miss over here and yup 250 GBp for a years international subscription is right taking the piss!

Coles / Chapters tends to stock HELLO and Ok but not HEAT - why oh why not!!

You can sometimes get it at the newsagents at the rip off touristy hotels / areas - ie in Vancouver occasionally at Granville Island / Lonsdale Quay/ Hilton hotel . . .

I but it at The news place at Pike Place Market in Seattle or get it sent every few months from Friends in Uk - its like gold dust and does the rounds with all the expats here!

What really really pees me off is that you can buy every permutation of Woman, womans own, womans realm etc and Majesty in Coles BUT NO HEAT!!!!!!! GAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
