Default Health Issues

Hi all, just a question if anyone knows the answer...

After months of being prodded and pocked and having test after test, that I feel like a bl**dy guinea pig. I have finally found out that I have hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland)and am being started on medication for this.

I am wondering if this in anyway will cause problems with my immigration plans. I also have asthma, albeit mild, and lots of allergies.

Will any of these preclude me from moving to Canada?

Thanks

Emmjay

Not sure about the immigration side of this but my wife has the same thing as you.

My guess would be that I doubt you will be refused entry due to the condition being a 'temporary' one & plus it doesn't cost a lot for the meds.

It also wont cause you to be out of work for any real period of time either.

Insofar as immigration is concerned, you will be fine. Prescriptions are paid by you and, as others have said, the costs of such medication are relatively minor.

My friend has just landed her with same condition. No worries at all, not even at medical stage. Good Luck.

Hi my husband had thyroid cancer and after his op to remove thyroid he is on Levothyroxine for the rest of his life. We just sent our passports off for visa to be put in. We did think this may be an issue but obviously it wasn't. Just take as much info as you can to your medical from your doctor/specialist.

Everyone in Canada has allergies; I've never known a place like it for people being allergic to everything.

Blame the cleanliness craze.

Everything must be disinfected and sterilized, kids don't get the chance to build up antibodies when they live in fricken bubble.

Totally agree. A few germs never hurt anyone.
