Yup, the Maple Leaf is flying and we are getting ready for Canada Day.

What is everyone getting up to today ???

Our Cul-de-Sac is having our annual Canada Day street party. We have a bouncy castle, water slides, the BBQ's will be fired up and the beers in a canoe filled with ice. The weather is glorious and we are set for a good day !!

We are here in the Uk wishing we were over there in Canada - but we have had a nice big cream cake

Hopefully next year we will be in our own home out there somwhere in calgary area with a handfull of friends having a Canada day celebration in the country we want to be our home .

We are off to the eldest sons, girlfriends, parents, Canada Day Pig Roast.

There will be drinking and merriment and hot piggy. Hopefully no rain, though it is rather Grey and overcast

Tomorrow will be spent recovering, as one is no longer as young as one once was, and the booze takes longer to wear off, The Wife says, 'don't drink so much" but I find that rarely works

Busy day for me today, I'm a firefighter so had to be out doing traffic control for a kiddie's bike ride first thing in the morning, more traffic control for the parade. Then we got an emergency call during the raising of the flags - just a small fire, a couple of extinguishers put it out. After that I had an excellent game of 'water balloons' (I won a prize of 'free cheeseburger & fries') followed by a couple of hours of 'letting people have a go on my hose'.

Now I'm back home having a rest before the fireworks tonight - we're having a good time.

I'd like to have a rest tomorrow but I've got to tile my bathroom.

well, someone had to lower the tone, so it might as well be me !

Spent the weekend in Quebec. Saturday night in Quebec City and today went whale watching near Tadoussac.
