Some of you may remember me and my mad postings from before we left in November.
Well we have made it. We are all comfy here in Saskatchewan.
Only just properly set up with computer now. So thought that I should pop in.
We found a lovely little house which we are going to be tearing to pieces any day. Also managed to buy a plot of land in development at a nearby lake to put a cabin on. I want my cabin this summer but may have to wait!
I am expecting a baby in September and getting fatter by the day. We were waiting until we got here to have another and yes it looks like we wasted no time!
Children happy too. Lots of new freedoms. Lots of new cousins!
DH seems to be settled into the Canadian way of life and is getting better at enjoying leisure time. He has got himself a quad and is planning to get a boat for fishing. We may not see much of him then.
It has been easy for me. I am canadian and have simply come home. Loving the fact that I have so many relatives around me. DH is amazed that he is related to everyone in town.
I really do miss the beauty of the Cotswolds. Some of the sites here in my home town leave alot to be desired....
Missing a load of food as well. But we have managed not to get scurvy or rickets so our Northern Saskatchewan diet isn't as bad as I imagined it would be.
Beside once the snow melted in our 'yard' we found a HUGE veg plot. The local man with a little tractor has tilled it and 'my oh my' does it look good. May Long is traditionally the time to plant vegetable gardens in this neck of the woods but we had such terrible weather over the weekend that it was the last thing on my mind. It snowed on Friday! And I am wondering if we should wait until the end of the month and plant by the moon.
Now I am off to catch up with all of the news around here. And maybe see about changing my location!!
