Can anyone assist with the following,
Moving to Hamilton Ontario with work on 1st July 2017, wife and kids to follow a month later.
During this time i need to locate a rental property and have all set up ready for their arrival.
1. Can anyone suggest where in Hamilton is family orientated and would have good access to amenities & schools. Children's ages 1, 3 & 11.
2. My wife doesn't drive so ideally looking for accessibility & transport links.
3. Anyone recommended a real estate agent
4. How long from identifying a rental property and paying fees? is it before you can move in.
Thank you in advance for any & all assistance

If BE had a 'league table' for where people were looking at for a potential move, Hamilton would be pretty high on current form I reckon.

Thank you, hearing a lot of mixed reviews however some of the reviews on forums are pretty dated.

Hamilton West End; Hamilton Mountain Central, West and East as far as E26th. If you were willing to go outside Hamilton, then Dundas or Burlington.
It really depends on what you like and what you like to do - and of course what type of housing you are looking for and what you can afford! Rental prices have gone up a lot in the past couple of years.
Rentals in Hamilton usually start on the 1st of the month (60 days notice required for leaving) and leases are generally for a minimum of 12 months. On signing the lease, you pay 1st and last months rent and rentals quite often are reserved a month or more in advance (due to the 60 days notice).

Despite what others may say, transport in Hamilton is pretty good - easy access up and down the Mountain and across the Mountain, bus station downtown with easy changes to other areas across the City. There's a GO station downtown for coaches/trains to Burlington, Toronto etc.

I'm a great believer in you make your surroundings what they're, you also see the beauty you want to see and the bad.
Thank you
