was at Southland yesterday - city of calgary run
there are some big guys on the free weights - but would'nt say its a full on golds gym type place - just more so than some of some of the downtown
lululemon gym bunny type hang out (not that i disapprove of that look)

We're actually going to be living in Cochrane but it is likely my husband will be working in Calgary. We know about GoodLife but wondered if there are any others?
I will have to join a Cochrane one I think (and there's not much choice, especially if I need childcare...)
Thanks for your help 4 Bells!

My friend's husband is an avid weight trainer/body builder, he goes to this place: - http://calgary.worldhealth.ca/
If your husband is working in downtown Calgary many of the office towers have gyms on site; I know this doesn't suit everyone's routines but they are often much cheaper (sometime free, even just for being a tenant in the building) and you don't have to sign a membership contract either.

Thanks Helen, that's great. He is not an office worker though so is more likely to be a bit out of town at some big plant/factory though!
