He was to appear in Surrey Provincial Court Jan. 2, 2013 on charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
Those charges stem from an incident in Delta on Oct. 24, 2010.

I guess BC is one of the best places to commit a crime.

The one in Kelowna was raided a while back and now apparently they are going to seize it along with a Vancouver one.

Hells Angels contract killings a few years ago along the 401 W in Woodstock where bodies were found in a field.
There are a lot of people that like to play the fool by thinking it's only minorities that are gangsters and kill each others, but then you see things like the Columbine shooting and the recent Batman cinema killings. Those weren't minority kids
I'll be more cautious of buddy that can come into the office because he got laid off, or the one that has beef with monorities

What I'm always bemused by are people who live in the Seattle area who want to move to Vancouver because they say it is "safer". Seattle being one of the safest cities in the US already.
Now perhaps there is a greater rate of homicide in Seattle (although it is still pretty low), but most homicides are domestic homicides, I think your odds of being randomly shot in a incident like this are pretty much the same in Seattle or Vancouver.

An acquaintance of mine works in a department of prosecuting people in Vancouver. She asks if you have any references for this as the story there is that outsourcing the prosecutions (!) has resolved the problem.

It is a shocking story that was “fumbled” by the justice system, said Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond, B.C.’s representative for children and families. She raised multiple concerns about the case in a report released Thursday.
“Allowing budgetary considerations to outweigh the plight of the vulnerable children involved in this case is shocking, unacceptable and should never happen again,” says her report, The Impact of Criminal Justice Funding Decisions on Children in British Columbia.

On edit: I don't think your story supports the idea of a lawyer shortage though, that seems to be about a shortage of translators.
