Default Grey area in family class, any help?

Hi,
If you want to be sponsored as a conjugal partner but have lived together in Canada on a tempory visa for 6 months of a 20 month distance relationship does this disqualify the conjugal status? I think this needs clarification..........any ideas?

no, i do not believe it is one or the other.

What is important is that you qualify the situation. You lived together when you could and then had to leave when the visa expired and now you are a conjugal partner. In fact, in the manual sit specifcly statse if a couple had an oppertunity to cohabit and chose not to then that might cast doubt on the seriousness of the relationship.

Thanks for your reply
I can see your point, i left due to circumstance and not by choice and we can prove our relationship is strong. We are planning to get married this year so i suppose it is wether we apply for conjugal sponsorship now, or get married and then apply for spousal.............immigration what fun!!!
