Filed our taxes just before the end of April, and yesterday I had a brown envelope from revenue canada, and it was for a return of $907, a nice little sum, can't say no to that really.
Is anyone else expecting a return or expecting to pay the govt instead. Mrs Pollard on the other hand is still waiting for her sum as well, as she filed hers too late.

Without a doubt, you are right. Most people we speak to, say the same thing, it's just that tax office got our file number messed up, and we had to go the office near us, to hand it in, in person during mrs P's lunch time, as she works near the tax office.
Have seen people trying to do it by hand, and it's just not worth the hassle.

I've got a refund cheque from last year (an adjustment). It's for $2.73.
I never cashed it; bus fare to the bank is $2.50 each way.
I think I'll frame it and hang it in the downstairs bog.

Ah.....that is just bad, why do they bother? I guess the law says so, even if it was one cent

I'm glad we got onto this subject. It caused me to have a closer look at my tax returns. I've just noticed that the accountant put in contributions to the Quebec drug plan for both myself and my spouse. She's in the military and covered by their programmes (she's actually not allowed to use the provincial system). I'm also covered by her drug insurance. I think I've overpaid La Belle Province to the tune of about $950.
