Goods to follow..some more queries.Urgent.
I will be landing in Vancouver next week.I have a few queries.I did read the Wiki but am still confused.
1).I have abt 60 cartons which are arriving by ship.So am I supposed to give them the details of every carton? There are only few rows in the B4 column, there isn't enough space to list all the details.what shd I do in that case? Which form to use for GTF? B4A or B4E,pls clarify.
2).I would be listing down the goods accompanying in my own handwriting, not use the official form, hope that is ok.Again,do I list all the details of one luggage or a rough detail is more than enough.

I did my own excel spread sheet with box number and rough content ie I didn't itemise each piece of clothing or book but tried to group them in the same box like 1 box clothes etc. Had no probelms with doing the form myself

we were quite general with our as well - i.e. bowls, glassware, crockery, ornaments, didn't list each item specifically and we had no problems. did it on a spreadsheet as well.

You do need 2 copies they will stamp both and give you one back.

We didn't actually use the forms either, just printed off a table on "word", and made sure we included all the details which the B4 form had on it.
As others have said, they hardly look at it and it's fine to lump together stuff like box of clothes, box of books/CDs etc ... just remember to put an approximate retail value in $$ for each item or box you list.
