Hi all we have finally arrived in Nova Scotia and didn't know about the goods to follow form. We filled it in to get it stamped at the airport but when I went to get the form stamped the customs officer told me that we do not qualify for the goods to follow as we are here on work permit and waiting for PR, as our permits are only for 1 year. Is this correct, they did tell me that our container will land on a temp allowance and once we have our PR then to get the documents stamped. Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks Jason

They are correct however what intrigues me is that when your container arrives and you need to clear it at Customs they will ask for a list of goods to show whats in the container
Is one of you a Canadian as you state once we have our PR? or have you been nominated by a PNP programme?

When the goods arrive and you go to the CBSA office to clear them take the PNP nomination letter with you and the list of goods you prepared and explain that you have a PR application being processed.

Thanks!! they will not be here for another 6-8 weeks anyway lets just hope something happens with thePR within that time!! well lets hope. It must have changed as our friends that moved over around 3 years ago got their goods stamped and they didn't have PR at that time.
