Re: Goodbye to Canada
When you get here and realise how much things cost you'll turn round and get back on that plane!!! £590 for 900 litres of heating oil, £133 for diesel and the weather is CRAP!!! Good luck anyway

Good luck, Elaine. Belfast is a beautiful place - and I am sure you will be happy there surrounded by family.
Come and check in on us from time to time. |

Two weeks is the government mandated minimum which is in fact similar to the UK, although lots of companies give more. http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Annual_Leave-Canada http://www.tradeangles.fsbusiness.co...employment.htm |

http://www.tradeangles.fsbusiness.co...employment.htm I stand corrected. However I still stand by my original comment that, "If holidays is the only criteria you are working with then perhaps Australia might be better for you.":sneaky: |

Re: Goodbye to Canada
You are very fortunate to be able to do that, what do you do? although Im in my first year working for a company rather than self employed, they were adamant from the start that there would be no time off in the first year of employment & after that its limited to two weeks a year, oh but after five years service you get an extra week

Re: Goodbye to Canada
Hi Elaine, have been away this weekend and so hadn't seen your post. By the time you eventually get around to reading this you'll be safe and sound back home. Hope the flight was an uneventful one and the children didn't hassle you too much. With very best wishes for the future.
