Going to USA from Canada, visa requirements
Hi Guys,
We are currently living in Canada on a TWP but going to the USA for a wee holiday (only 5 days)
Just wanting to make sure that we are exempt from a visitors visa, since we are british citizens and are going for less than 90 days i think we should be ok but would be great to get confrimation

We had relatives from the UK staying with us last month, they went down to the US for 4 days on British Passports without any problems.
I think your UK passport has to be machine readable you can find examples on the US embassy website and from memory I think they had to pay $6 each at point of entry.

Just be prepared to be interrogated, finger printed and made to feel like a criminal!

Unless you are entering the US by car you will need to apply for ESTA authorization before you leave.

Does anyone know how to check if my passport os machine readable or not??
It is a british passport issued 7 years ago, so im guessing it will be !!!
